Letting the money do the talking in recruitment.

Letting the money do the talking in recruitment.

We had an incredible moment with one of our placements this week. One that either of us had never seen before.

In the final stages of placement, we had a candidate who blew the socks off our female-led brand. Smart. Experienced. Engaging. Interviewing alongside both male and female candidates, she was obviously the perfect fit.

The only problem was… the money.

But she wasn’t too expensive. In fact, she was asking for significantly less than other candidates and the market. We knew it. The client knew it. The candidate didn’t.

The client confirmed the offer. And without our prompting, added $20K to it in order to bring her up to a fair and reasonable value. “It was only fair.”

Needless to say, it’s a brilliant start to the relationship. And a great example of founders leading by example.
