Who is the eCommerce Accelerator course for?

Since launching our eCommerce Accelerator for enrolments, the most asked question we have had is… 

“Who is the Accelerator for?” 

Let me start by telling you who it is NOT for. Dropshippers. Weekend Shopify warriors. Instagram ROI hackers. 

The Accelerator is for those who want the foundations of eCommerce so that they can set themselves up for a long and successful eCommerce career. 

Here is who we have designed the Accelerator for: 

1. eCommerce Launchpad

You’ve got your foot in the door of a great retail business. Most likely as an eCommerce Coordinator, Marketing Coordinator, eCom administrator… or potentially the only person in the building who knows anything about the website. 

You can probably operate the front end pretty well, upload products and run promotions. But you feel like you haven’t got the full 360-degree view on how to come up with an eCommerce strategy that can take the business to the next level. We’re talking the full gamut from financials to marketing to supply chain. 

This is the foundation course to give you the skills to help drive eCommerce growth rather than babysit the website. 

2. Traditional Retail Pro’s

You love retail. And you’re really good at it. Whether this as a merchandiser, a project manager or a CFO. But lately, you’ve found your traditional retail world butting up firmly against the eCom wizards who talk in another language (and spend all their time on Slack). 

The eCommerce Accelerator is designed to give you a fundamental understanding of the retail world from an eCommerce perspective. 

Once you have this, you can overlay all your experience to provide a deeper strategy and work together to deliver growth across the business. 

3. Casual Retail Superstars 

You probably don’t know a world where eCommerce isn’t a crucial channel for shopping. It is native to you. But how would you ever kick start a career in it? 

And you are probably even working in retail while you are studying or working towards your “forever” career. This could be as a casual store assistant, customer service rep or warehouse picker. If you are a superstar in these roles, your customer skills will be the perfect foundation for an eCommerce career. You just need to learn the backend basics to get started. 

That’s what this course is. We hope your retailer leaders will cherry-pick you, their casual superstars, and enrol them in the Accelerator to show that there is an exciting career ahead in eCommerce.

4. Recently Graduated 

If you’ve just finished up a marketing, business, tech or finance degree and want a career in eCommerce, how do you get started? There’s no obvious pathway. 

For students, we have twenty free placements available. This allows you to participate in the Accelerator course but also means that we can use our eSuite network to line you up for your first role with a bag full of skills, ready to hit the ground running. 

We have loads or retailers crying out for skilled up grads! 

I know what you might be thinking, that is a lot of very different audiences. And it is. But it’s intentional. 

Our mission is to grow the eCommerce talent pool in Australia. And in our view, the best way to do this is to upskill those on the fringes of an eCommerce career. Everyone described here is so close to getting on the wild ride which is an eCom career – we are just putting the foundations under it. Then, the sky’s the limit.
